Karen L. Butler, BS, MA, PhD is a Full Professor of Health Education in the Health and Human Performance Department at 星空无限传媒 in Charlotte, NC. Areas of interest/expertise include HIV/AIDS education, sexual orientation, and gender issues.
Dr. Butler has over 30 years' teaching experience and has taught over twenty different Health Education classes. She is the 2002 recipient of the Par Excellence Teaching Award, was awarded the 2003 Distinguished Alumnae Award from Kent State University, was inducted into the Sun Valley High School Distinguished Hall of Fame in 2012 and received the 2020 CATO Par Excellence Teaching Award. She has authored over 20 scholarly articles and presented at various conferences at the international, national, regional, state, and local levels.
