Charlotte, N.C. / November 10, 2020 -听Awa Sore 鈥21, a double major in biology and chemistry, is getting a head start at her career as a doctor. She spent summer 2020 completing a virtual research internship with Davidson College.

鈥淚 had other internship opportunities lined up for the summer, but they were canceled. I am grateful Davidson provided this virtual internship for students like myself who were looking to do internships, despite the pandemic.鈥

Working virtually did present some challenges for Sore, mainly getting accustomed to using the software during the internship. With some assistance from her peers, she became more comfortable and successfully completely her work and learn some skills.

鈥淧rior to this internship, I had only built a protein, I was happy to learn how to break down a protein for the first time.鈥澨

While she鈥檚 still unsure of what kind of doctor she wants to be, Sore is happy she was given the opportunity and credits 星空无限传媒 for providing her the tools and opportunity to succeed.

鈥淛CSU provides students with a multitude of resources to help them with their career. The emails I receive from my professors and the University have been beneficial to me.鈥
