ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ ranks top 10 in North Carolina for online programs

Charlotte, N.C. / October 14, 2019Ìý– ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ is taking top honors in a new poll. SR Education Group released its 10th Annual Best Online Colleges in the Nation, and JCSU is taking the #9 spot in North Carolina.Ìý

The university offers five competitive online programs for students including, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting,Ìý Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management, Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Dr. Laura Colson McLean, Dean of Metropolitan College, which houses these programs, said she is proud to have been a part of the development of online courses at JCSU.

“It’s an honor because there are a lot of online degree programs, but just because it’s an online degree program does not mean it’s considered quality through a student’s perspective and for us to rank number nine speaks volume of what we have created, and we hope to continue to produce the same outcome moving further up the ladder.â€

Rankings are based on the number of online programs, tuition costs and median salaries post-graduation.

For the second consecutive year, Duke Energy Corporation hosted a comprehensive Career Development & Professionalism WorkshopÌýaimed at empowering students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in today’s competitive job market.Ìý The event took place on Saturday, Nov. 2, in the James B. Duke Library where Duke Energy provided breakfast, lunch, and numerous giveaways. The POWER UP Bootcamp attracted a diverse group of more than 33 undergraduate students from various majors who were eager to enhance their career readiness and skills as well as develop other essential professional competencies.
