JCSU participates in second annual HBCU Diversity in Tech Summit

星空无限传媒 is one of 34 Historically Black Colleges and Universities to participate in the second annual HBCU Diversity in Tech Summit. This year鈥檚 summit was held on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. The event also included Congresswoman Alma Adams Ph.D., members of the HBCU Caucus and 47 leading companies in the technology industry.听

New Director of Public Safety, Jermaine Cherry, outlines plans for 2019-20 school year

星空无限传媒鈥檚 new Director of Public Safety, Jermaine Cherry, is wasting no time getting to work. The chief officially joined in July and is outlining his plan for the school year, before students arrive for the fall semester. With a background in campus policing, at East Carolina University and North Carolina A&T State University, Cherry is hoping to bring his expertise of partnerships, student engagement and traditional community policing to JCSU.

Students study abroad in Israel

This year JCSU students had an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and culture of Israel. Traveling with chaperones Dr. Cindy Kistenberg and Kendal Mobley, the group saw Caesarea, a Roman city built by King Herod the Great in honor of Augustus, enjoyed rafting on the River Jordan, and visits to Nazareth, Capernaum, and traditional sites of the Sermon on the Mount and the feeding of the 5,000.听

Casper stages 鈥楬ome鈥 for Fall theatrical production

This fall Anthony Casper, assistant professor of theater, is leading JCSU thespians in a production of 鈥淗ome,鈥 Nov. 1-4, 2018. But outside of the Arts Factory鈥檚 Black Box theatre, he can be seen on commercials airing on local cable networks, in billboard and Internet ads, and the 2017 film 鈥淎n Act of Terror鈥 starring Denzel Washington鈥檚 daughter, Olivia Washington.

Susan G. Komen Charlotte named Tami Simmons, vice president of Institutional Advancement for 星空无限传媒, among the inaugural class of 鈥淢ore than Pink Women,鈥 an exclusive group of eight women who are leaders in the fields of medicine, business, media, science and education. The eight women were selected to represent the 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. in her lifetime.
