JCSU Esports Club Continues 132-Year-Old Rivalry Against Livingstone College
The first football meeting of two Historically Black Colleges (HBCUs) was held on December 27, 1892, between Livingstone College (LC) and ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ (JCSU), which was known then as Biddle College. Almost 132 years later, the rivalry between these two institutions remains formidable to this day. JCSU won the first HBCU football game in 1892.

JCSU Receives $25 million gift as The Duke Endowment Celebrates a Century of Philanthropy in the Carolinas
The Duke Endowment made a big announcement last week: a $175 million gift to the four colleges and universities named in the Duke Indenture of Trust. ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ is among them, celebrating a $25 million gift today. The Duke Endowment also announcesÌý$25 million grants to Davidson College and Furman University. AÌý$100 million centennial gift to Duke was shared in November.
Freshman Class Encouraged to Transform Silence into Language and Action at 2023 Convocation
Hundreds of new Golden Bulls joined together Thursday morning in the Jane M. Smith Memorial Church for Freshman Convocation.
The convocation, which is a rite of passage for all new Smithites entering the storied University, featured the bestowing of cords and pins as new students recited the honor code and received official greetings from their elected student leaders, administration and Dr. Valerie Kinloch, 15th president of JCSU.
