Students in the Public Speaking and Communications class mentored and taught young entrepreneurs through a virtual service learning project in partnership with the Small Impressions Child Development Center in Taylors, S.C. During summer 2021, the children created their own businesses such as making personalized tumbler cups, setting up thrift stores, selling tie-dye t-shirts and even a car wash.Ìý

Ambassador Katherine Tai, the 19th U.S. Trade Representative, provided students with a unique learning opportunity when she answered their questions and educated them on U.S. trade policies during her campus visit.

One JCSU student had an "out of this world" experience this summer and was named an Esports tournament champion.

Two years after its conception, the Red Ventures Road to Hire partnership with ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ is preparing for its third cohort of students. In 2019, the University partnered with the Rock Hill, South Carolina, based company for a three-credit, two-semester digital marketing course in Metropolitan College of Professional Studies.

In an effort to safely return to normalcy for the fall 2021 semester, ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ is requiring students to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. In order to return to campus for the 2021-2022 academic school year, students must complete the vaccination process by Friday, July 30, 2021.

The Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is taking top honors among the fraternity’s undergraduate chapters.

ÐÇ¿ÕÎÞÏÞ´«Ã½ is making a name for itself in the Esports and gaming world. The University’s Esports and Gaming club recently won the HBCU Esports League’s Fall Classic Call of Duty (COD): Black Ops Cold War Tournament after defeating Morgan State University.

This semester, McNair Scholar Aria Springfield ’19 presented her research at two different conferences, most recently at Rice University’s National Student Leadership Conference in Houston, Texas. Her research deals with the Lost Cause Narrative and it’s perpetuation through historical tourism in Charleston, South Carolina.
