A new course gaining national attention is now being taught at �ǿ����޴�ý. Rapsody’s “Eve” and Hip-Hop Feminist Literature is taught by visiting professor Dr. Tyler Bunzey, a UNC-Chapel Hill African American literature and hip-hop teacher.

This semester, McNair Scholar Aria Springfield ’19 presented her research at two different conferences, most recently at Rice University’s National Student Leadership Conference in Houston, Texas. Her research deals with the Lost Cause Narrative and it’s perpetuation through historical tourism in Charleston, South Carolina.

�ǿ����޴�ý made its highest finish ever during Black Enterprise’s 2019 BE Smart Hackathon September 13 - 16, 2019 in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Mark Dugo recently joined �ǿ����޴�ý faculty and he is wasting no time making an impact. The��assistant professor of biology, natural science and mathematics,��is also��director of the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainability.

Shakoya Brown ’20 and Charles Langston ’20 traveled to Miami to present research at the Florida International University McNair Scholars conference October 17- 19, 2019.

This fall,��SYDKIMYL��partnered with Johnson��C.��Smith��University��to hire Educational Facilitators to serve K-12 students at CMS. Educational Facilitators serve middle and high school students who need support with social skills, educational training, and transitioning in school by providing counseling and instructional services.����SYDKIMYL Educational Consulting, LLC��provides a balanced approach to serving students both socially and emotionally while guiding them through their academic journey.��

A number of students and faculty who participated in the annual Mid-South Sociological Association conference (MSSA) October 14-17, 2020, are proving how �ǿ����޴�ý Holds High the Gold and Blue.��

IBM is announcing its first IBM Quantum education and research initiative for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), aimed at driving a diverse and inclusive quantum workforce.

On Friday, June 5, 2020 Lelia Jackson ‘20 and her daughter Kneadee Lester-Jackson ‘20 both received their diplomas from President Clarence D. Armbrister during �ǿ����޴�ý’s diploma pick-up.
